WOW! What a night! Yorkshire Gliding Club at Sutton bank was the venue. A collection of 12 rogues were in for a treat. I think it was obvious to all that I was a bit nervous. I was very grateful not to use the parachute! Superb views of Helmsley, abbeys and villages, with around 20 minutes in the air. Afterwards a hearty meal, a beer was the order of the day. Watch out for cats Dom!

13th May - Charity Presentation Night

Thanks to Ben for all his hard work and well done all the other tablers and wives! Over £6000 was distributed to local charities at the Crown Spa Hotel (Its 4 star you know!). Lots of tablers and their other halves were present at a great night. The second half was held at the Green Room restaurant on Victoria road, where far too much Grandma's favourites were devoured.

6th May - Bikes and beer

Unlike last year, it was actually sunny and warm. Our brave warriors left the Rosette pub and set off down the old railway line with great enthusiasm. The 7.30 to Hayburn Wyke called at The three jolly sailors, The blacksmiths arms, The red lion and arrived for a buffet at 9.20. Anyone wishing to get their bikes back should put a bid on Ebay a.s.a.p. Thanks to Jim and Dom for their help.

15th April - Glaves Butchers

A big thank you to Mr Brian Glaves and Family for this fascinating insight into the how our meat is produced. We enjoyed a talk on current regulations, challanges facing the industry and spanish vets. Then a good look round the abatoir and meat fridges. His son skillfully prepared a side of beef in front of us, in the shop downstairs. We then wolfed down steak pies, chips and peas at the Cayley arms afterwards. Very Yummy. Two guests also present were Chris and Rob.
1st April - Snooker.
18th March - Indoor Rifle Range
19th Feb - 10 Pin Bowling
5th Feb - Scarborough Urban Renaissance
A talk from Nick Taylor on the past, present and future of our lovely town. We met in the upstairs of Cafe Cielo on the Sandside.
